BLACK LIQUOR OXIDATION & WHITE LIQUOR OXIDATION
When using white liquor in processes such as oxygen delignification and bleaching extraction, sodium sulfide (Na2S) can negatively impact the pulp quality. One solution is to use oxidation of white liquor which also reduces the required sodium hydroxide.
NORAM’s IsoFlo™ reactor efficiently oxidizes Na2S, either partially to thiosulfate or completely to sulfate. The partially oxidized white liquor can be used in oxygen delignification, EO-bleaching, and in SO2-scrubbers. The fully oxidized white liquor can be used in EOP- and OP-bleaching stages.
In addition, IsoFlo™ can be used for black liquor oxidation, effectively reducing odor from the sulfur content. This technology is also integrated into NORAM’s LignoForce™ technology. It offers a compact design with possibilities for heat integration.
