CLEANFLOW™

The CleanFlow™ System is a membrane technology to increase the production of the kraft mill recausticizing plant. By utilising crossflow ceramic membranes, a portion of the green liquor is filtered to less than 5 ppm TSS, effectively debottlenecking existing green liquor clarifiers / filters. CleanFlow™ can also be implemented to filter white liquor as an additional polishing step to improve the product quality.

Unlike traditional dead-end filtration, where a filter cake builds up, the crossflow filtration offers a higher degree of continuous operation with its tangential flow, which prevents particle buildup and functions as a type of self-cleaning mechanism.

The improved quality of the green liquor leads to significant cost savings; including reduced purchased lime costs, lower energy requirements in the lime kiln and eliminated polymer costs. Thereby, providing a more optimal use of resources. Thanks to its modular design and compact footprint, CleanFlow™, can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems and is easily adaptable to accommodate a future capacity increase.
